STAAR Secure Browser Pre-Check

Check WiFi is able to connect to PISD

  1. Start the Chromebook
  2. On the login page, click the button in the lower-right corner of the screen
  3. Click the WiFi button and select PISD (if not already connected to PISD)
  4. If the device is unable to connect to PISD, the device needs to be checked by Technology

Check Secure Browser Versions

  1. Start the Chromebook
  2. Click the Apps menu at the bottom of the login screen
  3. Click SecureTest
  4. If prompted, select Texas as the sate and click OK
  5. Once the browser loads, the version will be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen. If the browser does not load or the version is not Secure v10.1 or greater, the device needs to be checked by Technology
